The June OAL Tonight will be devoted to presenting the submissions from the Member Curated Exhibitions for members so members can hear about the proposals live and decide to vote.

OAL Member Curated Exhibitions

The Proposal submission process is very easy. Partner with another member or members to create a proposal that includes your work in a show. There are 4 possible combinations of curator and artists:

1. Curator and "Single Artist"

2. Curator and "Group of Artists" (limit 4 artists total)

3. Curator as an "Artist" with "Single Other Artist"

4. Curator as an "Artist" with "Group of Artists"(limit 4 artists total)

Important dates:

· 5/19 - Meet and collaborate via Zoom

6/14 - Midnight (12 AM) deadline for submissions

· 6/16 - Member review and voting on Zoom

· 6/22 - Member online voting deadline

· 6/25 - Acceptance notices sent

· 6/25 - Online exhibition dates announced

HOW TO APPLY

1. Login into your OAL Member Account.

2. Complete the Member Curated Exhibition Proposal Form

DANA GRUBBE

Gateway to the arts

Dana Grubbe is a central Ohio artist known for her contemporary abstracts. She works in oil and cold wax, in repurposed house paint and in encaustic. Her work can vibrate with color, texture, and metal leaf; but Gwen Fox calls her the “Queen of Neutrals.” Driven by her love of process as much as by her love of color and texture, she is in her studio every day. Recent series include: “Memories of India,” “Travels in Ireland,” and “Social Distancing.”

OAL Featured Artist

The big announcement is coming soon. The next OAL Featured Artist will be announced in the coming weeks. This will be the second artist that will be featured with an online storefront that showcases 5-10 works for sale through the OAL website.

Look for future emails and social media with more details about the OAL Featured Artist and the works that are being showcased.

Featured Artists are typically chosen from artist participating in one of our OAL exhibitions. To be considered as a Featured Artist, participate in the Member Curated Exhibition or the upcoming 2021 Fall Exhibition which will be opening later this summer.

As a member of the Ohio Art League, don't forget that you have access to the statewide OAL members artist directory. The directory provides insight into details about your fellow members as well as artist portfolios and links to websites and social media.
