Ohio Art League member, Ron Anderson is an oil painter, educator and fashion designer with over 25 years of experience. In his studio, we caught up with Ron to learn more about him and his work. His work is stimulating and inspiring. His vibrant stories are filled with life and passion pulling the audience in to the rhythm of jazz and theater. Currently, Ron's work is part of the "Ohio Black Masters" exhibit in the Elijah Pierce gallery at the King Arts Complex of Columbus, Ohio. Ron is very active in the art community. He has created an impressive collection of figurative oil paintings using dynamic expression to represent his unique cultural heritage. His work has been extensively shown in exhibits at museums and galleries locally and internationally. Ron’s latest solo exhibition was in the Shot Tower Gallery, Fort Hayes in 2018.
Ron has received numerous awards for his oil paintings and was nominated for Governor's Awards for the Arts in Ohio. As a former CCAD instructor for Art & Design, he is currently teaching Commercial Art with Columbus Public Schools. Ron has served as an Art Consultant on several Public Art projects with art commissions that have included oil paintings, graphic design and illustration.
