Springfield museum of artTour with the Ohio Art LeagueJoin us on Sunday, November 3rd at 1 pm for two artist-led tours of Color Fields and Tigris at the Springfield Museum of Art. After a brief introduction by Jessimi Jones, the Executive Director of the Springfield Museum of Art, we will meet Andrea Myers and Amanda Love, who will share their exhibitions. In Color Fields, Andrea Myers uses discarded, donated, and domestic clothing in ways that both reference and resist the rigid notions of work traditionally assigned to women. A former bookbinder Amanda Love responds to book banning and the dismantlement of knowledge with Tigris, an art installation of deconstructed books. Please RSVP at oal@oal.org. Museum admission is $5 to be paid to the museum upon arrival. |
