Aritst of the month: Marty Kalb. Marty's recent work reflects on the force of energy in water. Whether he is depicting a peaceful creek in his hometown of Delaware, Ohio, or presenting dramatic, crashing waves from his scuba diving adventures in buenos Aires, Scotland, and the Galapagos Islands, Marty's paintings convey a sensitivity and directness, delivered through a process of critical observation and intentional compositional choices. This work reaches great depths in technique, content, and perception. "Marty received his BA from Michigan Uinversity, BFA from Yale, and MA from Berkley. He taught fine art at OHio Wesleyn University from 1967-2007, and has exhibited his art in more than 150 exhibitions nationally and abroad. Marty is represented by Art Access Gallery in Bexley, Ohio."
