About"I am fascinated by the apparent line between spirit and matter. My recent installation work resembles embryonic and cocoon forms. These 'etherial floatoids' hover in space between the weightiness of fleshy existence and transcendence of mind and matter. They are made of tree branches, cellulose skin, fishing lures and iridescent threads. All my work aims to evoke the mystery of existence." Born in Kansas, resided on the West Coast and Maui and now happily in Columbus, Cee has always been interested in the meaning of existence and the interconnectedness of all things. She has produced hundreds of paintings and sculptures and has written two books about Consciousness. She received a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute, an MFA from Mills College in Oakland and was granted the Jay Defeo award. |
