Born in Chicago, Il, Ardine holds MFA in photography and is Professor Emerita, Ohio State University.  She has exhibited nationally and internationally and has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, Graham Foundation, Ohio Arts Council and GCAC.  Her word is included in numerous public collections including Columbus Museum of Art, John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Photography Columbia College Chicago, Museum of Fine Arts-Houston, and the Technische Sammlungen, Dresden, DE.
