Debrah Butler was born in Akron, Ohio and studied with Jack Richards and Marc Moon. In 1974 she earned a BFA degree in Painting from the Cleveland Institute of Art. Her primary mediums are graphite and pastel. Much of Debrahs' work has been human and animal depiction. She is a founding member of Group 10 Gallery in Kent. She actively exhibits in local and national juried shows and has received many awards for her detailed, graphite drawings included in May Shows, Cleveland Museum of Art, National Midyear Show at the Butler Museum of American Art, Youngstown, Ohio, Salmagundi Club, NYC, Laumeister Art Center, Bennington, Vt., Wiford Vogt Gallery, Santa Fe and many more. Debrah has had one and two person exhibits at the Hermitage Foundation Museum in Norfolk, Va., Wood Street Gallery, Chicago, Wells College, Aurora, NY, Ball State U., Muncie, Indiana and more. Debrah works and resides in Kent, Ohio.
