Alyson Veit is a primarily self-taught artist, specializing in abstract and fluid art. Her background in the arts grows from the fine art of dance & choreography and she currently owns/operates a large dance studio in central Ohio. Alyson loves the peace and tranquility that painting brings her busy life as a business owner, wife, and mom of four.

Having spent 40 years focused on the fine art of dance and choreography, expanding my creative expression into the world of acrylic painting and fluid art infused my life with freshness and the thrill of learning something new. My art starts intuitively, with an emotion or color or whim. I love color, texture, contrast, and using my hands to paint. I am fortunate to be able to include my young daughter in the early stages of covering the canvas - I learn from her to stay out of my head and not overthink every stroke. As I continue to build my catalog of work, my goal is to further incorporate my dance background into pieces that give similar impressions of organic inspiration, movement and flow.
