Sacred Geometry

Exploring timeless nature and symmetry through photography

As part of my art practice, I regularly incorporate multiple image making techniques. This can range from 35mm photography to creation of digital compositions. One of the major exhibition mediums that this practice includes is the creation of sacred geometry stills from my experimental video landscapes or from still photography of plants that are then printed on canvas and mounted to board.

Recently I have been focusing on growing and or planting plants in my own private gardens so that I can document the changing landscape that comes with the seasons in Ohio. The prints on display as part of the  Arts & Gardening Festival at Scioto Gardens are all images of flowers or plants I took either in my garden or locally at a garden in Ohio.

The sacred geometry aspect is a way to create a recognizable abstraction out of the patterns of they way plants grow. I have a specific mathematical principle called the geometric pathway that is used to create these images which focuses on highlighting the natural colors of the plants as it is represented many times over from multiple geometric degrees.
