Artist of the month June 2019 - Cindy Butler Rasche. Born and raised on Ohio, Cindy earned her BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design. She also lived in New Orleans, LA, where she had earned her MFA in Hot Glass under Professor Gene Koss.  Cindy creates sculptures inspired by archeology and symbols. Her current work consists of the series involving prossess of carving and painting. Her subjects are divers and thought provoking. Cindy has shown her work in group and solo exhibitions nationally and internationally. She received awards of the Best of Show at the Texas Society of Suclptures, and The Woman Art XII in Wichita, Kansas.  "I am fascinated with the way sculputre can recreate a certain moment in time, or suggest an alternate view of reality. - Cindy Butler Rasche "My Sculptures take physical form from mud brick and adobe structures I saw while living in the middle East and visiting New Mexico.
